Ok maybe some of the experts can ease my worry.
This is my first bird dog and I have ask several questions on here and have had a great response and very helpful tips, so now on to the next issue. Today Willow and I were outside which she loves, soon as we go out her nose hits the ground and she goes crazy sniffing around which I would think is a good sign, Well we had our first up close encounter with a bird today it was a Cardinal about six foot away I saw the bird in the bushes beside our house in the bushes which she plays in often, when she saw the bird she completely freaked out and started running the other way, I could not get her close to the bushes again after that. I was thinking wait a minute little girl you are a bird dog whay are you running and tucking your tail. She is 15 weeks old so its a little discouraging at this point on top of that she also freaks out if there is loud noises, vaccum, mower, weedeater, truck cranking, horns etc... Needless to say I am concerned, but at the same time I am not sure if this may be normal at this age.
I got her from breeder that has a very good reputation and has many champion hunting dogs. What are your thoughts
