the boys have been so sad about striker and seeing them swiych on and off at night who sleeps with him is so sad... so at work i saw a humane society that had a bunch of nice dogs... we went tonight and they had doxie puppies... we now have a 2 month old female doxie... colten named her bolt... there is and adorable pointer mix there too thats a year old but we went with a lil dog.... |

| I knew it. Good for you mom. What have you named the puppy? And where the heck are the pictures? You know the rules. Your kids are Wise beyond their years. | Oh I can just smell the puppy breath. There was recently a thread of someone thinking of adopting and they had posted a link to video of one GSP in foster care playing with the foster home's Doxies. Looked like they played famously. |

Congrats on your new addition to the family. No doubt GSPs get along with doxies. Java has two that she loves to play with.
I agree with Bev, kids raised with dogs in the house typically grow up to be kind and considerate adults. It just teaches them so much more than we can do without them.'
Bolt is definitely a cutie. And thanks too for rescuing from your local shelter too.

| Very cute. I was raised with Doxies. They are good dogs..... well.... have you seen the Disney movie " The Ugly Dachshund"?(You'll see what I mean)... ) You will have to rent it for the boys, they will LOVE it... timeless... Congratulations!!! |

| We actually own that movie!!! My kids have always been in love with the dachshund! I do think ours is a doxie beagle mix but she runs like a doxie and it is so cute! Blitz is very gentle with her, but she gets so wild and will bark at him and nip at his paws and face.... |
