Lol I have decided all GSPs much enjoy the on back, legs up, C sleep position. Bella is a cuddler unless she is way over tired and then she prefers a little space.

Awe!!! Hanna splays on her back only when she is dead dog tired. My last shorthair had a huge deep chest. She could not roll onto her back at all.

your velvet reminds me of Striker... some other pics you have posted in the past have reminded me and now seeing this one... he was always on top of someone or Blitz when he slept... except at night in bed with Colten then he preferred the foot of the bed...

Cute pictures. Speaking of sleeping with legs up, when Lucy is on her back, 85% of the time she has one leg straight up in the air. Never had a dog sleep like that before.

Windsor used to sleep with me in bed when Lou worked second shift - that was bad cuz Lou would come home and Windsor and I would be both passed out and then Windsor would wake up and growl to protect himself staying on the bed so we put an end to that - this was before Velvet came along. He'll still come up occasionally but prefers his crate. Velvet has to pretty much be in your face anywhere and if she sleeps on the bed, she's usually on TOP of me and I have night sweats all night from her - I have to put the fan on, even in the Winter!

@smylinacha that's funny about Velvet having to sleep right on top of you. At our house if you got out of bed in the middle of the night, you would lose your spot in bed! From my experience GSP are quite the bed hogs!

I know for a fact I might be on the couch tonight. Velvet has been sleeping with Daddy on the couch and when he goes to bed, she will go and when I get there she will be in my spot. So either I couch it or push her off and then she'll climb on top of me and I'll get hot flashes. She's too warm to sleep with!
