I have a random question and it's purely out of curiosity. If Rowdy is now 45 pounds at 7 months old, is there any way to guess how much he'll weigh when he's full grown? Or does it vary from dog to dog. He's pretty skinny but is very tall and long. Just curious and thanks to everyone who answers.

Your best way to figure your dogs weight is the parents and how tall he is at the withers. Even then it would still be a guess. My guess would be around 65 lbs, but that is about average for a GSP so it is a pretty safe guess.

I can't help you sorry but I just want to stake a claim of having the smallest 4 month old ever lol. 7kg (15lbs). She's just so tiny.

Not specific to gsp's but I've always heard that doubling their 4 month weight is a good estimate of their adult weight. With giant breed dogs it's the 5 mo mark because they continue to grow for longer
