Hunted today for chukar and huns.  Weather was windy and drizzling and great running conditions for the dog.  Nice and cool weather.  Rowdy bumped two coveys of chukar we ran into and went off chasing them.  Still doesn't quite get the relationship between the gun and the bird.  He settled down and pointed a single hun down in a draw as we were switching from chukar to hun cover.  Weird to see a single hun, as I almost always shoot them out of a covey of at least several, if not 30 or more.  Didn't run into another bird, although the 15 MPH wind could have made for tough scenting conditions, who knows.  Had a great time watching Rowdy work.  One thing I like is that he seems to have insticts for working the wind already.  Several times I saw him purposely drop downwind of some hun cover and work into it.  Very cool to watch.
