Luna is officially 2 years old as of yesterday! Celebrated with a good play with her best bud Oscar, a doggy cake, and some steak on top of her usual food for dinner I remember the day we met her as if it was yesterday, and hope for many many many more years together! video of her playing with Oscar...looks rough, but that's how they love to play together In the picture below: Luna 4 weeks old, the day we first met. One of our friends who came with us that day to meet the litter, is holding Luna. The day we brought her home: 8 weeks old this one always makes me smile - she knows that she always gets the last licks of our ice cream waiting patiently for yesterday's birthday dinner

Happy 2nd Birthday, Luna. You are a very nice looking young lady that gets rowdy just like my Lucy. Watching her play is the same way my dobe Baron & Lucy play. I have to hold my breath at times as Lucy weighs about 47lbs. and Baron is 92lbs. Good thing Lucy is quick. Luna's puppy pics are adorable.

Happy Birthday Luna! Loved the video and pictures. The video looked like normal GSP play to me. Glad Luna had a great birthday.

BEAUTIFUL GSP!! Yes.....normal play! I HOPE! My two play just like that, but the growling and intensity are a bit more than these two and for longer. We also have the size difference of 48 against 75! I understand the "holding your breath moment!" It's often best if I don't even watch!

Thanks everyone! Her spoiled and loved way, is the only way I can imagine having her...we love it She's definitely "calmed" down over the past 6 months, although I'd say she has a very mellow and happy temperment right from puppyhood, she has become truly the best family companion we could imagine. We've thought about adding a 2nd for the past year now, but have decided against it for the time being, until one day we own a bigger house of our own and not planning to add a baby in the next year hopefully. Happy to hear she's not the only GSP that plays this rough! I never worry with her and Oscar thankfully, as they've been best friends since the day we brought her home and they play at least 1-2x/week like this. We've stopped taking her to the dog park though at around the time she turned a year, because we found that the only dogs she really got along with well in terms of playing how she wants and needed to play are other GSPs/boxers/or Vizslas and have only met a few here. Just not worth the worry for us when she has doggy friends of her own we invite or meet up to play with. Thanks again! This forum and GSP community has been extremely valuable to have! We love it

Weerubbertummy ~ Time goes by waayyyy to fast I can't believe she's already 2. Everytime anyone asks how old she is when we're out and about with her I have to stop myself that she's not the youngest puppy anymore. I still see her as a 6 month old spunky girl. Hope we have many more years together, but it sure reminds us every day to cherish every moment we have with them.
