I had posted these photos in the hunting forum as that was the best fit, but then I thought about how everyone loves pics, and the nonhunters might not pay any mind to the hunting forum. SO, I thought I'd repost the photos here too :)

Bella has been enjoying her first Fall (well, as a full grown gal and not a squirt). I think she loves the sound the leaves make when she runs through them. AND, if there are no toys to grab for a good ole game of chase...leaves make the PERFECT quick solution :)

It's officially Autumn up here. We are just starting to surpass peak color, but the past week was superb.

This one I just threw in because it makes me laugh, and for you duck hunters maybe. I just picture the gals saying "here he comes, act natural..." and him walking by saying "Hey...Ladies..." and the girls pretending not to notice him

We took Bella out for her first day of Grouse. I tagged along for the color and photo opps...not the hunting :)

First grouse - two more to follow.

Hubbs thought it was super cute to keep saying "bring to mom", so I was forced to take them. Proud of myself LOL

After that last pic, I looked up to hubbs no where around so I was forced to carry them back to camp on my own. Hubbs busted me with this pic. Won't happen often...

Great pictures. Have to say those ducks look like park ducks that have had a few too many pieces of bread! LOL That drake has a huge BUM! LOL Even my pen raised birds aren't that fat. HAHA

Lol, they are most definitely park ducks. Well I am assuming. I was away from home and exploring when I found them. Though, they played quite aloof for park ducks. I was surprised I sent them headed the opposite direction and that they weren't flocking toward me thinking I had bread lol

Those are really great pictures. Nice pictures of Bella and the grouse. Your color shots are beautiful. Ours are definitely out with the rain and wind, but had some beautiful colors while they lasted.

The mallards look like some I used to have years ago in the back yard. They'd try to sneak under the fence as they couldn't fly over it. :-) You always knew when it was time to eat as they would stand and peck on the back door of the house. :-)

Nancy, Gaylord was absolutely stunning. I was downstate for much of last week for work. The second photo is actually from Amish country in Clare/Gladwin area. I drove home on Friday in high winds so I'm sure you lost a lot of the coverage that day. Luckily it was still beautiful when I got home...though snowing :)

Gorgeous pictures! Definitely confirms that Fall is my favorite time of year. I'd be the person to tag along too just for the photo-ops and scenery of it all. Bella looks like she had fun!

Wish I had the luxury of walking the trails and shooting grouse, I guess.  In Virginia we have to bust brush up a mountainside for maybe 3-5 flushes a day with a good dog.

I have been told we are the Grouse capital so I think they fare OK enough on the logging trails to never have to bother really trekking in the brush. Now he'll even have Bella to retrieve and probably wouldn't even have to get off the four wheeler if he didn't want to lol. Lazy hunters ;) jk, I think they took it pretty easy too because I was there

AWW!! She is DEFINITELY in her element!! Happy, happy, happy, and serious at the same time!! You can tell she is "working!" Love seeing dogs do what they love to do..."work/play!" Thanks for the BEAUTIFUL PICS!!

Thanks again, everyone. She's out with 'dad' again this weekend, so hoping they'll come home with some birds. Funny, I never used to care or really want to think much about it my husband shooting things...but, for Bella's sake I want her to learn and them to have fun so now I root for them :)

Great photos! My favorite thing to do in the fall is to go to the neighborhood corn maze with my loved ones. I love getting kettle corn and hot cocoa. Sometimes, I will even pick out pumpkins from the pumpkin patch. The maze will only be open another few weeks, so make sure you head out there for a ton of fall fun! Fall activities really are great.

Omy goodness. So beautiful! I'm very jealous of those stunning colors. I lived in DC for a year (my first time living somewhere with a true Fall) and I really miss seeing the leaves changing colors! Thanks for sharing a Fall deprived Texan your beautiful area! I love seeing pictures of Bella too. Awesome markings!
