Limited out today for the opener with 3 mallard, 2 widgeon and 2 teal (1 GWT 1 BWT).  Rowdy did well on the ducks he SAW fall, which was two of them.  He made great water retrieves with them.  The other 5 he didn't see fall so I showed him the birds and then encouraged him back to the blind.  Didn't seem to mind the cold water one bit, when he realized there were dead ducks (and some live) on the water.  I will be headed back out tomorrow for more duck hunting.  I scratched the chukar hunt, since there will be 6 other guys there with 5 other dogs and that simply will be too overwhelming and too much of a zoo for a young pup.
