Takoda with a limit of Prairie Chickens on a 6 day hunt to South Dakota. He did great (better than I shot lol), even had a great point on a coyote but wasn't sure what to do after that.

What an awesome job by Takoda! Oh yeah, nice shooting by you too. Where did you go? My girlfriend is from the western part of SD and I can't wait to get Mitz out there for some great hunting.

South East of Pierre in the high prairie this time of the year. but I have seen grouse in the western part of SD also, where is she from in SD.

Nice job, that looks like a successful hunt. South Dakota is on my bucket list of places to hunt.

The worst day of hunting is better than the best day at work.

She's from the Rapid City area, so out west. Her grandparents have a lot of land and I don't know if they have any birds yet. I can't wait for him to grow up a little and get him out there! I'm going to say he "needs time," but it's more for me to practice my shooting

I know there is grouse and pheasant between Newell and Sturgis SD and that isn't far from Rapid City, not near the numbers of pheasant compared to the Pierre, Chaimberlain area but they are there.

Oh yeah, East River has way more pheasants. I'm just excited to get Mitz out and let him unleash his inner hunting dog self! When we finally make our way up there for the hunt we will go to the East side.

Our season here in NY opens Oct 1 & the past couple days while out for walks we have been going through the motions just no gun & have been putting up grouse. Can't wait !
