I posted yesterday about starting to train my dogs with live pigeons and a remote bird launcher. It's going great so far. I've stopped my dog from creeping on the bird once she stops to point and from chasing once the bird flies/launches. These dogs sure learn fast. My dog is now in bird-mode 100% of the time we are outside the last two days because of this training. I think she thinks there is a bird around every tree, even when we are not training. Anyway, can anyone suggest other things I should work on with her with the live pigeons? I've read some articles about it, but nothing suggested different than what I've been doing. Is there anything prettier than one of these dogs locked tight on point, crouched close to the ground, paw up and tail straight out? I'm going to try to get some pics sometimes. Any suggestions are welcome.
