Hi everyone, My 10 month has a little lump, it looks like a hard spot on his back. It's not bothering him or red or anything. I looked online to see if this was a common complaint for shorthaired but couldn't see anything. It looks like an ingrown hair. It's hard to tell by the picture, but I suspect it is just a cyst in the skin. Mine get those from time to time. If it is something like a sebaceous cyst they can open, drain and go away, sometimes they don't. I would watch it and if it grows get it checked out by the vet. Also, if it is not just in the skin I would get it checked out.

Bella gets these on her head and nose sometimes, about the size of a zit like you say. We have decided it is allergies, we just can't pinpoint just what. I think it is an outside irritant as it is nonexistent at this point in time, but was heavy during peak summer.
