So I was just wondering what your thoughts are on how big my girl will get. She just hit the 5 month mark yesterday and weighs it at about 25 pounds even. This sounds small to me only because I read some posts that say their 6 month pup weighs in the 60's. Her mom is only about 48 pounds and dad even a little smaller about 45 pounds, so I can expect her to be in that range I think, but is she even at the rate to get that big even? Thank you all, just a curious question...

With the size of the parents being on the smaller side no doubt your pup too will probably stay smaller.

Just for comparison, my puppy was 25 pounds at 4 months.  At 7 months she weighed in at 41 pounds (a big growh spurt for her) and at 9 months she weighed 43 pounds.  She is now 2 and weighs in at 48 pounds and she is 21 1/2 inches at the withers.

So your pup may end up being a little smaller, but hey, I like this nice compact sized GSP.

Yeah I have no problem with her being on the smaller size, especially since her parents were both very lean athletic looking dogs. Examples of your (therozypozy) dog were what I was talking about how my pup is so much smaller in comparison to other dogs at similar ages. Anyway, I couldn't be happier with her.

Our girl is now 8 yo and she is 45 lbs soaking wet. Our boy is usually in the 70 lb range (at 5.5 yo). Same dad, different mom.

I know two 100% pure bred GSP's, fully grown, that weigh under 40 pounds.  One is 30 pounds, the other is 35 pounds.  They are BOTH  ADORABLE and have the same GSP personality, agility, birdiness and all!  They are just more compact and smaller in size!      My female GSP will be 1 year tomorrow and weighs 50 pounds.  She is very lean, and to me looks a bit on the small side. (Just like her mom.)She weighed 42 pounds at 5 months, 48 at 9 months, and is now, 50 pounds.   My  male is a bit on the large side, and is actually quite clumsy and a bit heavy with his step.  You can actually hear him run....it's not a good thing!   He weighed 60 pounds at 7 months, and now, at a year he weighs 73 pounds.  He could probably stand to lose about 3 of those!  Believe it or not, I can still see his ribs.    If I were to compare the two for speed, agility, stamina etc., I prefer Maybrie's build.  Kaido gets WAY TOO HOT, way too soon.  He does not have the get up and go in his step like Maybrie does. Plus, if we were to hunt, Maybrie would be able to get into a lot more places than he could, just due to size alone.

And since we're on the topic of estimations, what is the estimated age that all of her adult teeth will be grown in? I know, it's random...

If I were at home (out of town for work) I could tell you what Bella was at that age, but I do know she is on the petite side, yet average. She was the runt of her litter, but according to her breeder, has surpassed her sisters. She just turned a year and she holds steady at about 49-50 pounds.

I'd say if your pup doesn't seem to actively be searching for food (or more food after eating) and is getting the appropriate nutrients that she is just fine. Bella probably weighed 25-30 at that age.

Teeth...hard to remember now when she had lost them. I'd say maybe 6 months?

My female GSP is 18 months and weighs 38 pounds.  She's a very petite, small boned dog.  She's a ball of fire though and has a naturally strong prey drive.  She can also outrun most every dog at the park.

Well sounds like you'll have a smaller dog on your hands. Havoc is just about 8 months and currently weighs 67lbs. I do believe he had most, if not all, of his adult teeth right around 6 1/2 months.
