Hello everyone,

I just wanted to introduce myself and say what a great forum this is. I browse many different forums and this one seems to be a great one. A lot of great input, pictures and advice here. I have a 5 month old GSP female named Oakley (maybe in my avatar?) along with a 2 year old shorthair/border collie mix. To me, I have the two greatest dogs in the world but I have to admit, I am addicted to my shorthair. She follows me everywhere I go and just has the best personality. I hope to be able to learn a lot from you guys and enjoy everyones comments here.

I did have one question on my mind that I thought I would ask since I'm writing. So far Oakley has been great in the house, has hardly had any accidents, even when we brought her home at 9 weeks, but all of the sudden, last night she pee'd 3 times in the house. Seriously, she has never done this at all! Is this a stage that she is going to go through or do you think this was just a fluke? She's so cute when she knows she's in trouble so its so hard to get upset with her but just wondering if this is a phase that a lot of puppies go through? Thank you all in advance!

If only happens this one time, I wouldn't worry about it. At 5 months old, puppies sometimes get so busy they forget. However, if she keeps having accidents then you might want to get her checked out for a Urinary Tract Infection.

And welcome to the forum. There is a sticky post in this section at the top that tells you how to post pictures. We love pictures as you have already observed.

Welcome to you and Oakley. I agree with Texas Belle. If it continues have her checked for a UTI. She sure sounds like a keeper. Looking forward to pictures.

Ok so here is my attemp to uploading pictures. I hope it works. I need to be a lot better at taking pictures of her, these pictures are when she was about 2 and a half months old so she's a little bigger now. I will try and get some updated pictures of her as soon as I can.

She's absolutely stunning, i love the full liver colouring.  That's a cracking photo of her beside the lake - looks like you're already giving her the sort of life a gsp thrives on  loads of outdoor adventures with smells and plenty to chase

Miss you forever Kintra baby xxx

Oakley is a cutie. Just curious, where is that lake? It looks very familiar to me. I do allot of hiking in CO and looks like one of the lakes up there.

Thank you everyone, she definately is a keeper. She has so much personality, I wish some of these photos could capture that.
She's is a total Diva, always getting my other dog in trouble. I will try and get some more photos uploaded sooner than later.

The lake is called Cutthroat Lake in the Uintahs in Utah. We go backpacking up there multiple times each summer. She is
getting some great exposure and learning a lot.

Welcome! What a doll! I love her face in the car photo. I get the same one from Bella after jumping out for a few minutes to run an errand...I return to her with the "oh hey, you're back. Fall asleep while you were gone? No, not me..." look.

If she acted like she was in trouble chances are she knows she had the accidents. I have always heard that puppies can regress a bit in potty training in the 5-7 month mark, and though we didn't experience it, there was one time that Bella got so busy playing with my nephew at my brother-in-law's house that before I knew it he was tattling on her and she had had an accident in their back room. I think she got excited and was too busy to ask to go out...and realized she had to go and couldn't wait. Three times does seem a bit much if there have been no prior accidents...but who knows...maybe it was a busy day for you and you missed her signals (Bella's were VERY subtle until about 5.5 to 6 months). Don't fret, and just keep an eye out.

Have fun with your new shadow :)
