Sad news to our GSP family.  Renee' Willeford, known on here as "BEANS", was killed in a motorcycle accident today.  May you rest in peace and your spirit live on in your GSP family.  You will be missed.

RIP Renee. I will always remember the crazy costumes you'd dress Beans up in, they always made me smile and laugh out loud. You will be missed dearly by so many.

How did the word get out? Is there a news article somewhere?

I just logged onto Facebook and found out. I am just in shock and so heartbroken for her, for Bean, for her family and friends, and everyone of us that knew her on-line or off.

She was very sweet and always had great photos to share.

When I went out to Oregon last year, I messaged her to say that I was nearby!

We have exchanged Christmas cards over the years, and even though I never got to meet her in person, I felt like I knew her and Bean in a way.

It still hurts that someone you cared about is gone.

But as I said on Facebook, I am comforted by the fact that she died doing something she loved.

We will not forget you, Renee.

This is the only one I found:

Motorcyclist dies in Skamania County crash

Renee M. Willeford, 51, of White Salmon died Saturday morning when her motorcycle struck a pickup stopped to make a left turn on State Route 14 four miles west of Bingen, Wash., in Skamania County, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Allen R. Paz, the driver of the other vehicle, was not injured.

Caryl, Rebecca (GSP-FAN) got a call from her boyfriend after the accident. They were good friends and had just been planning for Renee to visit this fall.

I echo what Meg said, hug your peeps and pets. Life is too short.

:-(

I think word first got out when Greg Willeford posted on Barb Edberg's facebook wall and asked her to pass the word to Renee's GSP friends. She was riding with Jeff (her boyfriend) on their motorcycles on the way to a concert she was really excited about, so I am trying to take comfort in the fact that she was happy and doing something she loved.

This is horrible! I didn't know her personally, but then again, I always think of my forum friends as personal friends in a way - because we have this bond, the GSP.

She will not be forgotten.

I know exactly what you mean.  I have been a member of this group for about 7 years, and I have formed many great friendships!  We share what we love - our dogs, our loves, our kids, our happiness and sorrows... we become family.

When I found out, I literally had chest pain because my heart was hurting so much.  You can get to know someone on line and feel connected to them just the same.

I am thankful for all my GSP friends across the miles!

I too learned of Renee' passing so suddenly on Face book. I first met Renee' and Bean Girl so many years ago on this forum when I adopted Rocky who is now 10yrs old. I admired how much creative energy Renee' had with Bean girl. She would dress Bean girl up in matching hats, sun glasses and neck wear for every holiday. We shared funny stories and picture of our GSPs thur the years in a daily basis. I will miss her greatly. My prayers are streaming to her close friends and family. They must still be in a great state of shock with sadness. RIP Renee'

I wasnt on this forum back then but having read some of the tributes on this thread i went to read some of BEANS's posts - she really came across in her posts as a lovely, funny, full of life character - one of those people whose absence you just know will be greatly and widely felt.  Condolensces to her family and friends.

Miss you forever Kintra baby xxx
