This last weekend I took my pup Cabella up taining, But since then she has periods where she looks like she is going crazy or nuts!!! I am just wondering if this is normal or if she may have picked something up while training?and if so what would cause this?   She starts to try and bite me or run around like a bat out of hell and does this really high squealed bark..... she is 13 weeks old, I may be over reacting but I am just concerned, any info helps thanks!!

Sounds like you may have an extreme case of the GSP zoomies :) Basically just spaz moments. If she returns to normal shortly after I would assume that is all you're dealing with.

Bella's usually occur when she is over tired, or over bored, but she also even has what we fondly call "poop zoomies" that occur after...well...you get it :) We embrace them, because they make us laugh. But, when she was a pup and they occurred indoors, I would call her over, put her in a down, and encourage her to settle. Or, if you're kennel training you can put Cabella in kennel for a bit to help her settle. The biting, I would definitely address just because you don't want her thinking that is ever OK at this point in time.

Sounds like zoomies. That sounds about the age I first started seeing them. It is a good idea to start getting the pup familiar with how you plan to deal with them. When Cabellla is bigger but still very much a puppy it will pay off - like most training. I never let mine have the zoomies inside. As soon as I see the start of them we go outside and embrace it, they can be better than a long walk. I never had to deal with nipping though during.

hahaha Yup its the zoomies - it may be a disease but its a funny one most of the time LOL
My dog age 7 still does them pretty much every day - there's the post-poop zoomie, the wow I feel good zoomie, the post walk or post swim zoomie, etc. :)
And although he has known since he was a year or so that zoomies aren't allowed inside he occasionally can't help himself, when we see him come over with the pre-zoomie look we shout OUT and open the door
He also hasn't done the bitey zoomie since under a year

Yeah, my name for it is the Crazy Halos after my second GSP. It usually occurred with her when she was overly tired. Timeouts in the crate worked great. She still gets them and she is now 7 YO. With Halo she zooms around like a crazy dog. With my boy who is 4 YO he starts acting like he is going to explode usually when he is laying down. It is hilarious because he will twitch, bark, growl and make all kinds of funny sounds and movements and then bam he is is off zooming. My puppy girl is like her mother Halo just zooming around. My oldest girl never has done the zoomies.

Sadie get's the crazies occasionally. She will jump up and grab my hand, lean against me, or try to hop up on me when I am on the couch, then run over to the door, and bark like she has to go out. When I let her out, and shut the door behind her, she turns right around, and starts barking like she wants to come in. When I open the door to let her in, she backs up and barks at me.

Yup, you probably guessed... she wants to play! It is especially annoying at 10 - 10:30pm (when the neighbors are asleep). We have hard-wood floors, so she doesn't run around a lot, though, but I would guess your dogs want to play before they go to sleep! That is usually my key to get her in her kennel for the night.

It is watching the dogs work that I thoroughly enjoy, and love. I could get by with just watching them work - if it weren't for all the training, and the joy they exhibit when they pick-up, and deilver to hand a bird that they pointed, and you shot. - Todd
