The royal imp was driving us nuts this morning finding all sorts of mischief. Then he spotted a rabbit, went on point, is still on point, going on 15 minutes lol

I hear that!! I had a brown rabbit statue next to one of my potted plants. Lucy spotted it from the deck and went on point thinking it was for real. ;-)

Baira points at the door when she's waiting to come in.....no joke. Leos just throws himself at it and the all mightly thump alerts us to the fact that he wants in.......that's no joke either.

At least he holds the point! After 5 seconds with ours, the rabbit is a play toy and then a snack.

Bunny would have met a similar fate except it was outside his fence line :)

My daughter almost made a fatal mistake the other day by letting her rabbit out without seeing if the dogs were in. It was a close call, but the bunny survives another day.

Dogs are not my whole life, but they make my life whole.

I love that too........most of the time, Dax will go point the shed and wait for the groundhogs/rabbits/whatever else is hiding under there to come out. Keeps him busy for a long time. The other day he stood there just pointing and waiting for about 2 hours.

The only time it stinks is when I need him to go to the bathroom but hes frozen and too distracted to go potty.

Took Bella in the pet store we don't usually go to the other day. They had bunnies in a cage on the ground. My back was to them and I felt a tug on the leash. I turned around to find Bella in stalk/point mode. She's never seen bunnies before, so I was impressed. A guy watching her got a good laugh. She tends to make hunters fall in love with her wherever we go... I really need to get a move on helping her along with those instincts. Fall is going to come awfully quickly.

Try taking them into the fish department. That is funny too. Anything that moves actually. Mine love to go visit the pet stores and looked at the critters. Doggy heaven, critters, bones, toys, dog food, and lots of people to make over them, what more could a shorthair want?

I should take her to the pet store more often :) though, it was a struggle telling her to leave the treat bins (the scoop your own kind) they have at nose level. Such teasers! She got to carry a pig's ear around Ace today...so I'm not always a mean mom :)

Funny you say "anything that moves fast". I was on the actual computer ( not phone) the other day and Bella was lounging on me. She looked up to see the curser moving and letters appearing and starting nosing and licking the screen trying to get it. Bella art on the windows AND computer screen now I guess :)
