Hi all! I wasn't sure where to put this so forgive me if this isn't the correct part of the forum! I am hoping to adopt a GSP, I actually have considered it off and on for a for years but didn't because of time contraints. Now I am here most of the time and can actually be devoted to training. I suppose I should back up and say I am looking for one as a companion, in the house, take on camping,hiking trips etc. I might be interested in participating in AKC activities though I never have. I have a large house and yard on the edge of a small town. There is a fenced in area in the back but as said, I would want the dog in the house. I live with my 20 year old daughter and she does have cats and a pomchi so some tolerance towards them is a necessity though they wouldn't have to be in the same areas of the house and it could be worked on. I have had dogs all my life so definitely not a a first timer. My main reason for placing this here is I would prefer a dog over six months old and an older adult would be just fine with me.
