I'm not on Facebook but I really wanted to publicly state what a wonderful time I had at the Nationals this year. The few complaints that might have some justification were generally not under the control of the club or the committee but probably because of a little short staffing and constraints imposed by the hotel and or budget. Some people confused some of the club hospitality with the hospitality provided by the hotel to their guests--it was awesome. But if you weren't a guest, you didn't pay, you couldn't play. There WAS a crating room available for those who could not leave a dog in their room. The various volunteers worked very hard to try to please but you just can't please everybody. I "managed" to take advantage of all the perks that were available :) The quality of the dogs was the best I have seen in quite some time. Everyone was friendly and courteous. Our Board is doing a wonderful job of communicating with the members and making sure everything gets accomplished properly. It's going to be a hard act to follow. Anyone who needs lessons on how to loosen up those pucker butts and have a good time - I might be able to help you!!! I will be on grouch patrol! Yes congrats too all the WINNERS !!!

Thank You Phyllis we are all very thrilled with Ace's 4th National Specialty win especially since it was from the veteran class
( a class I have always held dear to my heart ) even more special for me as my mom was there to see him win !
I must say for an 8 yr old who is not used to such high temps I could not have asked more of him :-)
Ace was joined this year with his sons winning 2 out of 5 awards of Merit
GCH.Fieldfines Pure Gold TD CGC Owner Handled by Barbara McNeill and
Ch.Frantz-Rugerheim Diamonds Are 4Ever Owner Handled by Terry Chandler .
His son Billy was awarded the Stud dog class !
Congrats also to Bonnie Secker with daughter Paris , Terina Chernich with daughter Marquis and Amy Bricker with granddaughter Princess
for making the cuts as well.

I must say I really enjoyed this national specialty and I can't thank the powers that be enough for all they do each and every year.
Most Thanks to Patty Crowley and her crew as I do not think I ever seen them sitting down taking a break!
Thanks Patty and congrats on your BOS win for the 2nd year in a row with  GCH. Shomberg's Perfect Timing

Looking forward to 2013 as its much closer to home :-)

Congratulations to everyone at NSS! I enjoyed and looked forward to updates from everyone. Would someone please post the dates for 2013 when available. Hope to catch up with everyone in Gettysburg if possible. For Andi and other nonFB friends, I wanted to share my Happy Birthday Wishes to our sweet Sugar. Andi, the last video in the slide show was from NSS in Jacksonville. I was able to run around the ring in the shoes that you borrowed from an exhibitor sitting at ringside...LOL Sugar competed in 10 consecutive NSS shows (agility, rally, conformation (regular and veterans classes). Greg and I are forever grateful to Jennifer and Lin Mills for our precious girl. http://vimeo.com/40939319 Martha Veatch and gang from KY ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andi & Paul Owens" To: Sent: Monday, April 23, 2012 4:26 PM Subject: [gsp-l] Nationals I'm not on Facebook but I really wanted to publicly state what a wonderful time I had at the Nationals this year. That was an awesome slide show - some incredible agility shots. Her versatility is so impressive and she's lovely to boot. Some of them are just irreplaceable. Where have the years gone? The more recent photos really touched my heart. How fortunate you are to have her in your life (and Greg too I guess). As are all our dogs...let's not forget all our beloved fourleggers who just hang out also. Once again, congrats to all competitors and winners and back to your regularly scheduled programming...:) For those who attended the annual meeting at the NSS last Wednesday, a code of conduct similar to the AKC's Code of Sportsmanship was proposed. I will try and locate this sheet (still covered in laundry after a week in Phoenix) and get it up for all members. Member input is needed to put this together and initiate it (hopefully with the new membership year beginning in January. Please be thinking about what you would like to see included in this one page document until I can get it posted. GSPCA is mindful of its members and really wants everyone to contribute to this positive document so hopefully positive suggestions can be provided . I'll be asking you also for some comments on what kind of merchandise you might like to see added to the inventory and available for sale. There have been inquiries about decals, etc., and I'm looking into that. Please let me know what you would like to see in the way of that....GSPCA, logo, dog on point, dog gaiting, etc. We'll be planning some "clearance items" also which might make good class prizes or items for juniors. As I said, let me know what you as individuals and/or clubs might like to see in the store. On Wed, Apr 25, 2012 at 7:57 AM, canebrake wrote: She is > very special indeed.
