Today the dogs found a black snake while I was working in the yard. They had some fun with it for a little while. After about 10 minutes of messing around with it I told them to leave it and took it back into the woods, I love black snakes so I didnt want the dogs to hurt him. I think it was coming up to drink at our pond youtu.be/MVFjLZxi2yE

They sure were giving it a hard time. It really couldn't get away since it was being double teamed. Glad you save it. Don't know what my dogs would have done. They've tagged a couple of black squirrels that didn't make it across the dog yard fast enough and broke their backs shaking them. Of course, I had a few bites to doctor. :-(

wow! That's one big black snake! I myself am terrified of snakes and would be running in the opposite direction...ha. Wonder what Luna would have done. Happy to hear the snake went back to it's own home

We have a huge black snake in our yard that I call Ethel, she shows herself from time to time and leaves her skins for Bugsy. My best guess is that he's gotten bit by her because the absolute only thing that tucks his tail is find a snake skin. It is hysterical to watch as despite his fear he is hellbent on getting the skin, and then eating it. It must taste awful because he makes the most awful faces while eating it. After its all gone he prances around like aren't I grand? Lol Glad you rescued the snake as black snakes are good to have around
