This is my new girl and first  GSP, Gossip aka BNJ Legend of the Dreamcatcher.  I hope this is in the right place.  I was just wondering if I could get some critiques on her as I've never shown before and I don't want to miss anything.  I want to do everything I can to give her the best chances when we enter the ring in August   Also if anyone has any tips, that would be much appreciated

I'd recommend finding a trainer to help you learn how to do conformation -- I do like your avitar, but the picture above the dog's front is set up too far underneath the dog causing a roached back and unnatural holding of the neck, and resulting in the rear assembly not properly showing the obvious extension this dog possesses -- if you set your dog up that way in the ring you will have difficult winning -- it looks very uncomfortable -- you want the dog to fall into it's front and not try to force what you think might look like a good front assembly setup -- learning how to properly set up a dog is a skill and can be learned. Of course you can try to also have your dog self-stack, but that too requires some tricks and learned skills.

Any one around your area that you can take private lessons from? -- you probably only need a handful to get started. We even do that ourselves when we are bringing out a new dog or special and have been showning since the late 60s. An outside opinion and trainer can help you learn the ropes.

Thank you. I have been looking into a trainer, the nearest ones to me are atleast half an hour away so until she gets a little older, I am just working her here. She usually is not stacked so poorly. I will try to get a better picture this weekend and see if you think we've made any progress :D

Thank you Moose1 for the compliments, I just want to do everything I can for Gossip. Thought I would add some 12-12.5 week photos.  I know that she is too far forward in the one on the brick wall.

Gossip will be meeting with her conformation trainer at her first match this weekend

She is a nice looking girl. So what you are calling too far forward is called posting. I know you are going to training, but just a couple of things that might help you a bit when you stack her. First, walk her into the stack and try to get her front straight. If it isn't where you want it move the one leg that is forward back, never forward, then set the rear. Of course, at this age just getting a four square feet on the floor is a good job. So, keep up the good work with her and you will do great. Can't wait to see more pictures of you and her as you progress.

Thank you Bev. I will try walking her into her stack, I read about that, but I had forgotten. She is such a great little (for now ;) ) dog and I just want to do everything I can.

Thought I would update y'all on Ms. Gossip.  She is now 5 months old and growing like a weed   We started conformation and obedience classes two weeks ago and are learning a lot there.

This is Gossip at 21 weeks, she's leaned back a little but compared to our first few stacks, I think we've improved

Much improved. The rear really is stacked well. The front feet need to be pulled back a little as she is posting. If you have a mirror, practice in front of that so you can see what she looks like. It is very hard, especially when you are learning, be looking down on your dog and stack them well. Keep up the hard work, and you will get there.
