It was a win that certainly made me smile -- what Dennis didn't mention is that Blitz will be 9 in February -- he retired in 2010 after taking Award of Merit at Westminster -- and I thought if he was to get his GCh. I'd have to get him back out before he turned gray -- he has a few wisps in the eyebrows already. He's been shown 4 times and has been Select or better each time with 3 majors and 15 of the GCh points. So I'm thrilled that he is more than holding his own with the young'uns in BOB -- especially with nationally ranked dogs in there.

 

Makes me think of other times when I've seen retired dogs come back in the ring and really look great -- like the time the Fieldfine folks brought Surge up to the Boston Specialties and he won BOB both days from Veterans class -- the image of him "surging" around the ring is indelibly imprinted on my mind. Or any  time  Ziggy comes back into the ring.-- you just say Wow!

 

Really makes you feel great to have dogs that don't fall apart at 5 or 6.(why am I talking so much about old dogs these days?????)

Not to be outdone by his daughter's championship win on Friday, CH Quinsea's One Dreamer's Dad.... CH Mariah's BDN Meant to Be JH owned by Sandra Kretz, took BOB on Sunday in  nice field in Fitchburg. Congrats to them....made the family look good this weekend Blitz....WTG!
