I have a good friend in Southern WV that has an Oops Litter of pups on the ground, Pointer x Shorthair, that was just born 9/4/11. He is asking for nothing, but for good, hunting homes for the pups. The Dam is a very nicely Elhew bred Pointer and the Sire is a very nicely bred Hege-Haus/Poettsiepen GSP. I expect they will be hard charging pups. Both are hunted hard for Grouse and Woodcock, as well as the Dam being hunted in Oklahoma every year on wild Quail, when her owner heads home to visit family. Should someone be interested further West along his route to OK later this Fall, he may be able to work out a meet along his route.
Markings appear to be mostly like a Pointer and he intends to leave the tails long.

PM or Email me for his email addy if interested.

Money will buy a fine dog, but only kindness will make him wag his tail.

I don't think the Dam has, but I know the Sire has had some done, but not sure what. She was never even Reg'd and wasn't intended to ever be bred. I suggested a Spay since her heat is completely "silent" and she gives no indication of being in. I suspect after dealing with all the work of a litter of pups, a Spay may be more of a consideration.

sigh - hopefully they'll spay

I bet they will be awesome hunters - I'll send a message if I get more serious about them, thanks

I have a female pup from this litter. 4 months old now, easy to house train, great at crate training, perfect with the invisible fence... she is definitely smart. She was spayed this week. Loves to play ball is a quick learner with nearly everything.

Not sure about those hunting skills yet, but it looks promising!

I don't post much, but I like to read all of the questions that are asked by others! Thank you all for sharing your advice and guidance.

Jenn - Would love to see pictures of your puppy. I bet that hunting instinct surfaces in the not to distant future. I am betting this is a awesome pup even if it was an oops litter. Is that a picture of your pup in your avatar? Is so, very cute.

Yes that is Annie in the avatar. She looks a little more pointer than GSP so far (her nose is a little broader and boxy, her chest is broader) and her tail is long too.
I have another pic that I will try to post here in a moment (after I read the instructions on what to do).
