Took Ozzy to his 4th HRC test this weekend, and thankfully he passed! He now has his Started Hunting Retriever (SHR) title. The event was a blast, really great judges, awesome raffle, and some good dog work. We're definitely hooked on HRC : ) Some pics:

The training is fun and benificial - pays to do it whether the dog competes or not. I don't know if I'm a good enough trainer to get to master level but it sure is fun trying.

It's Master in AKC, Finished in HRC. Finished in HRC is pretty dang tough.....I appreciate it even more after watching it in person. I DID see a GSP do a REALLY nice Finished Test at the test before last and it was pretty impressive. Takes some serious training in marking and handling, that's for sure. Then the Grand is a whole different game, I'd love to go watch that some day.
