I meant sire carries and X .
If the sire is Xx and the dam is XX, you would get some puppies that are XX  some that are Xx and some that are xx

Best example of how this breeding thing effects offspring.  Take a good stud dog that carries problem Xx and breed him to 10 clear females XX. If they each had 5 puppies you now have 50 new dogs, which 25 are now Xx.  
 
I believe since the dam carries an X, some of the pups will be XX some will be Xx and some willl be xx,
