First field event of the season and first broke event for young Jesse, 2 for 2 in Senior Hunter!! (first event he has run since garnering his derby points Last May) 2 weeks before our forst FT, can't wait!!!! Jess stylin' his bling

I am even more proud of how he handled the adverse weather conditions, worked his birds broke, didn't break on one bird. Yesterday it POURED with driving winds, his first bird, on top of the gunners both shooting a bird over Jess' bracemate RIGHT when he went on point, that bird popped up when I went to flush directly in his face, ran between his legs & I had to chase it down hill. His second bird wouldn't fly either & he held nicely as I chased it down & caught it to toss for the gunners. Proud of my boy........(and TG I had 2 judges today who FT, because he laid it down, LOL)

Impressive. Wet, non-flushing birds will unsteady most dogs. How many more does he need to finish?

Thanks Francine! I don't run Junior Hunter so he needs 5 passes, 3 more. If he had his JH, he would only need 2 more passes.
