This breeding should take place next week, pups will be ready in June. I will be retaining a male pup out of this litter. Excepting deposits (have a couple now, one male and one female). I will post pics and a pedigree as soon as I update my photoshop account.

VC Roughnecks Walk the Line (Johnny)

Johnny can be seen and his pedigree at www.sharpshooterskennel.com under the scrapbook page, some of his pups can be seen on the progeny page (kate, boone, abby, trevor)

Johnny also has one leg towards his master and will finish it this year, time permitting. He is an NA 112 prize one, and UT prize I (I guess since he is a vc that goes without saying, lol). He has akc show points, and hope to finish that up when I find a new handler (mine moved). He is ofa excellent, penn hip .31 .31, and cerf clear.

John doesn't know the word quit and has been a confident work horse since he was a pup. I will say he matured a little slow (IE took him a little longer then some to realize life is easier if he listens once in a while, well I guess not too long as he had his VC when he was three), he was never a run off, just has an extreme sense of 'himself'. He has matured into a pleasure to work with and he has always made me proud. I have never owned or worked with a dog that I get so many compliments on, and I hate to say it as I own him, he is breathtaking in movement and on point, never gets caught with his head, or tail  down, always looks like a painting, same when backing. If you look at the above website he is backing in those photos. (his pigment is washed out looking it was oct when he was 2). John has sired 3 litters, two have already earned na breeders awards, the third will test this spring.

VC Jjems Julia MH

Jule is a straight FT linebred dog, but she as her mother before her (FC, MH, UT I) has excelled at all sports. Jule is quiet and calm in the house (I think she has barked twice in her life) and a machine in the field. She is OFA excellent.

Jule is the mother of one litter, an NA breeders award litter. Thier test results can be seen at navhda.org, under testing, got to dog test results, type in dutch hollow, and gs.only one has ut tested so far and she is a prize I, going to invite in Ohio, I plan on testing the other female this year.

As a side note, we start hunting in September (teal) then our preserve opens, my dogs work with me everyday, hunt wild birds everyday we aren't guiding. Pheasant, quail, ducks and geese. If you ask anyone that knows me they will tell you I am harder on my own dogs then anyone out there (or as hard, someone will argue that), I won't tolerate quit, dog aggression, mental instability of any kind (I include kennel pigs, barkers, shyness from anything in that) I can give many references on pup buyers from Jule, and puppy owners from Johnny (this is the first time that I am breeding him myself). Anyone is welcome to come see them work anytime. Preference will be giving to hunting homes of course. A side note the majority of these pups will not be for the faint of heart, niether of these dogs is afraid to work out of site, leave on ducksearches and not be seen until they find something, they don't get lost, and they aren't self hunting, they are confident workers that don't need any encouragment to get the job done. That said it would have been just about impossible to ruin either one of them by 'overtraining'. If you have any questions email me at quickpup25@dishmail.net or ask here.

Sorry this is so long and I will get pics and a pedigree up asap.

Any day now, i miscounted and she could go from tuesday, thru sat, depending on what breeding she took on.

She is miserable, wish it was easier to post pictures on this site, took a great one of her on her back on the couch yesterday, looks like a pot bellied pig!

Today, she only ate 1/2 of her breakfast, but her temp is still at 100, hopefully she goes tonight, we have our local navhda test this weekend, and I would like to get this out the way first!

This litter sounds like one I would want to own.
Good luck with them.

I will try one of them, used to use photobucket, but can't get it to work anymore for some reason.
Pixie, I am really looking forward to it.
This winter within 6 weeks time, I lost my two oldest boys.
VC InT ch Triple J jesse James, MH, CD almost twelve, thinking stroke, a ton of vet work showed nothing wrong with him, he died in his sleep two nights later, he was working hard with me up until the last 5 days of his life, and for that I will be forever grateful, but it was an incredibly hard blow.
Knowing I had a 15 year old didn't make it any easier.
Best of Both worlds Jake, JH, CDX, NA, NAJ, NA I, upt II, UT II, was diagnosed with bone cancer in a rear leg about 6 weeks later, it was painful and I had him put down.
I almost didn't breed Jule (even tho I have been wanting a pup from this breeding for a year) because of the loss of Jess, I just didn't feel up for it. But I decided to try, then after I lost Jake I was very glad I did it, and very happy when she started showing.
I have been meaning to post in general about the losses, but it is still very hard to think about.
I am really hoping for a white boy, as except for Jule all of my dogs are now roan, and i have seen some pictures of white boys out of Johnny and they are breathtaking, hoping for one just like them!

So sorry to hear about your losses.

Even if you don't get a white pup from this litter I KNOW you will be happy with the pup you pick.

Can't wait to see pictures and hear updates.

Thanks Pixie.

I am always the first to tell people not to pick by color. When I got Jule I actually at 5 weeks picked a roan bitch, but changed my mind at 7 weeks. When I chose J lo (my bitch pup I kept from Johnny's first breeding) I was going to choose a black female, took a roan female instead. So I could end up with something totally different then a white boy, I do need a boy, but ya never know!

I do have a fb page that I never use, I could try to get some pics on that, or have my 12 yo do it that would be quicker!

OK, added photo's to a facebook, so anyone with a facebook account can view (I think!) will try to add some here tomorrow, had enough of the computer for one day!

Great pictures.

I don't pick by color.
because my dogs are imported I pick based on dominance - I like dominant dogs.
I've gotten pretty good at handling them and I have learned a lot in the process.

Thanks so much!

She is in labor today, so keep fingers crossed for me all goes well. She was kind enough to hold out over the test weekend, must have taken on the third breeding!

Trey - CONGRATS!

I can totally identify. We lost our foundation female, Rosie, a year ago and I have been very much wanting a roan male to keep in rememberance of her as she was our only dark dog. She was such an extraordinary girl. And I am also the first to harp on people for picking for color. But sometimes the heart wants what the heart wants.

Rosie would have been a great-grandmother twice in one week - the week before Memorial Day. But only one litter is likely to produce dark dogs and we saw only 2 or 3 on ultrasound. So now we wait.

I don't have facebook, maybe you can post a couple photos here? That way I can live vicariously through you until ours come...

Nevermind, was trying to get pic to come over from FB. I will post puppy pictures on there this evening.

I think even without a fb account you can view pictures in the album I posted in the above.

a week old today, all are doing great and are fat little hampsters!

I think I have made my pic, lol, sure that will change. Actually I think it won't, unless something really pops on the other white male that makes me change my mind.

I will have both m and f availible.

Finally got pics up on facebook, and everyone can view, even without an account

They will be three weeks on Tuesday and are very cute and playfull. Still thinking white male, but the roan male is really nice (have pic in album).

Jean, hope all your pups get here safely and you get the roan male you are looking for!

Thanks Trey and congrats to you!

Yes, all ours are here and doing well. The litter I would like to keep a male from had only one boy. He's not roan, but looks like he will be very hot ticked, and that will work!

Jean, glad you got a boy that you like. I have changed my mind twice and they are only 4 weeks old! This is the best age, so fun. Outside for the first time on Monday, got some new pictures on the facebook album
