I am in southwest mi. I dont show my dogs, but my daughter and wife are interested. Can someone point me in the right direction to some show schedules? I have done some googleing and am coming up short. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am in West Michigan near Grand Rapids. I don't know where you are exactly but I would be happy to help you find some shows. Are you looking for AKC shows or UKC? There are both in the area. But in Southwest Michigan there are A LOT of UKC shows near by. AKC you may have to travel further for. Shoot me a message if you want at beth@flyinghighk9s.com and we can chat some more as well. Two websites to start at would be www.akc.org (under events) or www.ukcdogs.com also under events. I am also on facebook under that email if you use facebook. There is a facebook community page I started called GSP's showing in UKC for more UKC info as well. Let me know if I can help in any way!

Good information on the AKC page, though it can be tricky to navigate. Most all the superintendents also have webpages that are great for information on upcoming shows that they super. MB-F (which is called Infodog on the web) covers most shows whether they are the superintend them or not. Try www.onofrio.com and also www.infodog.com. The AKC page can give you a better idea of all the superintendent websites, those are the two that (I think) are the easiest to understand). Just as a FYI, the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America (GSPCA) will be holding its annual National Specialty Show, Sweepstakes and Futurity, and Performanace events (Tracking, Hunt Test, Obedience, Agility and Rally) April 30-May 8, 2011 in Oconomowoc, WI (about 45 min from Racine). Check out the parent club page at www.gspca.org for lots of upcoming information on that too! Welcome to the Board...its always great to welcome a new member! I live just north of Kalamazoo and show my GSP in UKC as well. I will be at the Kzoo show in March too.
