Hi, Dante is 2.5 yrs now, it has been awhile since i have posted here. Here are a few clips (not very good quality) they were shot with a cheap flip. Dante got his Rally advance 6legs 6firsts in 7 trials i missed a sign and he nq'd at one trial. I hope to get his excellent in 3 more trials. I have one leg of his novice agility standard he got a first on that leg. With any luck i will get his Novice agility standard this year. This is his first year trialing, i will start obed next year, but for his first year he is doing great.. In agility When he gets some more time and calms down a scosh he is going to be good. In obedience i dont have his cd yet, but he can do some cdx stuff now dumbell retrieve on the flat and over the jump. Thanks Moose, Francine for this year i hope in the next three trials to get his Rally excellent, and before summer His novice agility standard and maybe jumpers, he has a leg of his standard agility now and i have a 2 day trial next weekend. I will start obedience next year, i could probably get his cd this year, but i want to score high and not just qualify. I think he has the potential for good scores at least at the cd level. I Have not taken any obedience classes and just train where i can. I need to practice the group sits and downs, he is pretty high energy and that seems to be a difficult thing for him, although in other contexts like at agility class i can put him on the pause table with 12 dogs roaming around and he will not move. I would say the group sits and downs are a training issue, but since i havent trained it, i dont think it will be a problem, i just need to work on it. He got a leg of his JH at 7 months and i took him 3 additional weekends and he never found a bird. I dont have access to birds, and really dont know much about training a pointing dog. He has caught several squirrels and armidillos and is hell on turtles. I have probably not done him any justice if i wanted to pursue any kind of hunt tests by letting him catch critters that much i do know. I will probably still enter some tests just because he does like it he runs like a banshee he just dosent find any birds. He loves water and when he was about 1 yr old or so i took him to a few retriever training days through a HRC club and he had a blast, he has a nice hard water entry. Eventually i would like to pursue the started retriever title they offer, which i think is just 2 marked retrieves on water and land. Jerry

Very nice!! Good luck on the obedience too. Are you going to take him to the Nationals? He really does well in rally and agility, and you guys would have a great time.
