Brenda....in the showring,no, doesn't get much better than an owner bred/handled BOB from classes (with some tough specials in ring, group & NSS winners), but I still have my eyes on that DC title!!!! Now THAT would be SWEET!!!!!!!! (course, you know that feeling!!!!) |

Hang in there, you will have it! I just tend to do things backwards...I am not much on show stuff, but when Sam finished so fast in the field I went for it. If you saw me show a dog you would know why I let someone else do it!!!

Thanks Ken!!! I know he is young yet...I am just enjoying this ride right now.
Brenda, I was all set to send him out this month, even talked to Rick....but my van put the kabosh on that (broke down 5, count 'em 5 times since Christmas week!!).
Now I will do my best to train for gun dog myself for now & see where I can take him this spring/fall in the field. Just very hard to work them off foot for trials & be competetive, especially when you only get out once or twice a week. (I live in town, no land, cant keep birds here, have to drive to train)
If I can't accomplish anything by fall, I will probably send him out, I know he has it in him to be a DC, I just hope I can do him justice in the field. Although I did well with him in juvy stakes, we all know GD is a new game, but I made a promise to someone a long time ago to dual Jess & I plan on doing my best to keep that promise.
Plus it is a dream of mine!
(and believe me, I am NO expert in the show ring, LOL!! Nervous wreck more like it, sometimes think it worse than trialing for nerves)
