Would a dog with no patches and dark ticking(not very flashy) be harder to finish then a dog with patches and moderate ticking (more flashy then the other as far as looks)  if everything else is equal in the 2 dogs?

Shouldn't be any harder as long as the dog doesn't have any other issues.

Competing, no. Finishing, no. Specialing is harder....I speak from experience that a sound, liver roan dog with no flash or dash pretty much gets overlooked in the specials ring. Usually it is the judges who have been in the breed for a great length of time who will recognize dogs such as this, typical of the Kaposia/older style of dog.

You'll have fun, regardless ! :)
