We were out about 40 minutes & heeling in traffic, when Bean's snap just fell apart.

She didn't even realize it.....and I didn't have time to panic  I hooked the snap section through the choke collar & remaining metal hardware on the leash...We  walked our normal route without any other incidents    I also forgot my Cell Phone when we took off, Glad I didn't need it.......

It happens. :)

This was Rogan's drop chain snap after I think the first snow run of last season, and he did the exact same thing to another one just this weekend up at the pass. I carry a double-ended snap with all my dog gear because they're great for repairing such stuff in a pinch.

Good thing she never noticed! It's pretty scarey when you think you're going to loose your baby!
