He is broke and he is not fixed, just a joke .
Copper is a two year old intact male. He is steady to wing and shot, retrieves, but is a little sloppy on backing. He ranges close, so not a field trial prospect by any means, but if you want a great day hunting birds and not your dog, Copper might be just the thing. He has had many birds shot over him. Copper has lived on a preserve up until recently.
But I wanted him in a home with a family, not to live solely as a kennel dog. Due to living in a kennel, he is not housebroken reliably. He did mark in my kitchen one time when I was not watching him. But he is crate trained and I am sure he will easily learn the difference between inside and outside. He is extremely sweet and vey affectionate. He wants to please very badly, so I think training will not be at all difficult.
He is good with other dogs, tolerates his obnoxious nephews like a champ and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. If I had more room and a dog limit of one higher than it is, he would stay right here, but I can't have four dogs.
Copper has one conformation point. He has been shown four times. He did get a group two at a match yesterday. He moves beautifully! His litter brother is in the top 20 and climbing. Copper is a handsome masculine dog! I would love for him to have a chance to be a show champion.
