Had a VERY enjoyable weekend at the Oakridge FT! Bruce, Ken, Steve (hope I didnt miss anyone who is on the boards here), very much enjoyed chatting, watching dogs & having a few senior sodas afterwards with you guys!! Bruce, congrats on Lacies 2nd place in the Open Puppy, great job!! Ken, Pixie looked great and Butterball is a little doll, cute!!!!Steve, hope Gunnars leg is better, hes a sweetie. I was VERY, VERY happy with Jess this weekend, he won the Amatuer Puppy, Amatuer Derby AND the Open Derby!!!!!!!! He's really a dream dog, I still feel like I need pinched to believe he actually won all 3 stakes against some very nice dogs.........now we go back to the show ring, get him broke & hopefully ready to run gun dog stakes next fall.

Thank you Steve! Terry, I think you are right, he is really coming on & not many dogs do so well show and field so young, I am quite proud of him. You know Gar and I were going to co-own him....I sort of get a feeling sometimes I have an angel scouting him for me out there???

Jess was on a roll this weekend and did a he!! of a nice job getting around all weekend! It was a really good brace with he and Lacie in the Open Derby. They both rolled together very well and between the two, I don't think they left a stone unturned! Alas, the Judges never got to see her on the 2 points she had, or I might of had something for ya ;-) Told ya it was gonna be a rip snorter of a brace! LOL Jess is definitely going to be one to keep an eye on as he grows up! That boy is built for speed and looks pretty darn sharp too!!!!

Ann congrats on your great weekend. And thanks to all that were there to help me learn some more avenues of dog work. While I didn't run any of my dogs I got what I wanted in seeing how trials work and got to see a lot of great dogs in the process.

Great job Ann and Jesse! I was impressed with him at the Vizsla trial and thought he could have placed both days in Derby. He sure gets out and moves. I have little to no FT experience, but range should not ever be a problem for him, and to have the stamina at that young age in that kind of heat says something about his motor!

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could have made it to watch, I'd love to see how one works. I will get there to see you all compete some day, I promise! And I'll bring Miss Xara with me so she can learn too LOL

Thank you everyone!! I am still on cloud 9!! Back to the show ring in 2 weeks & looking for a water test to run him in RD, we just started multiple marks this AM & he didn't hesitate to retrieve both, won't take much to have him ready like his momma did!! Jet did well also, but drops at shore to shake, still, not bad for their first time....she may be ready by the next test as well. We used bumpers, need to get some ducks, bith pups retrieved ducks at 3 mnths old so I do not foresee any problems.
