OK can dogs pee on the floor just to make you mad? Gunner ran off today, { he was still on our property, I hope} We have 40 acres with 40- 80 on all 4 sides. He finally came home & he was in the house for about 45 minutes & wanted back out. I took him out on the check cord. About 15 minutes later my husband went out to the barn to feed horses & Gunner wanted to go. I wouldn't let him & he whined at the door for a couple minutes & then turned around & looked at me & started peeing, he has never gone in the house since the first week he was home? Do you think he did it just so I would let him out? i didn't think they were THAT SMART????

Oh HELL Yes. Molly just did that to me yesterday. She has been housebroken for years but I put her dog door down yesterday because I was tired of listening to her bark at the squirrels and she squated right in front of my husband and peed on the carpet. She was sooooo lucky that she wasn't wearing her electronic collar because I was so mad.

Every now and then but I think it was merely that they had to go. But they are really smart too.
