couple of years ago my GSP started digging and barking in his kennel/dog house.  He only does this when the weather is cold (25 degrees or lower)  I have no problem during the Spring/Summer/Fall seasons, just during the winter.  I have a dog heater for his house but it does not help.

Any idea's?

Hmmm he is doing this IN his dog house??? It just dawned on me that maybe the heater makes a high pitched noise (or some kind of noise) that makes him think there is a rodent or something in there *shrugs* that just popped in my head just now so I thought I would throw er' on out there.

late year I did not have a heater and he was doing it, so I bought the heater this year.  He did cold and wet a couple of years ago during a hunt in heavy, wet snow.   another forum thought that hypothermai may have set in.  Kinda like frost bite, you ever get  your fingers or ears frostbitten, they are never the same when it gets really cold.
