Xara went in the kitchen one morning while I was getting ready for work and decided that Sienna's hamburger and rice was wayy too good smelling.
I found out what she was up to when she started to raise a ruckus in the kitchen, I went out and found her going from doorway to doorway barking at Sniper to keep him away from the goodies she found for herself.
I had the container wayyyyyy back on teh counter, I underestimated her neck reach obviously. She didn't dump it out on the floor though, she picked the entire container up, and placed it very gently on the floor and proceeded to have half of it gone before I realized she was up to something.
She knew better than to make noise dumping it out, so she put the whole thing down nicely so I wouldn't hear her.

The year i went to west minster , My girlfriend her sister Shelly and I dorve all day and night to get to our hotel (.New york had 2 feet of snow that year ) We were tired and just wanted to get some food . The girls did not want to put Molly back in her crate . So they talked me in to leaving her out . We took all our snacks and put them in the drawers . Told her to be good and left for Olive garden . We got back and she had the drawer open and each thing on the bed by her . She ate the bread the chez and crackers ,had a bite of apple and had taken a bite of rice cakes and had spit that back out . Just as neat as can be We laughed so hard we forgot the photo . We still talk about it today .(been far east )

I caught Abby with her paws on the counter getting ready to run off with the turkey one Thanksgiving.  I had thawed it out and was getting ready to stuff it.  Dennis needed help on the computer.  She got the butt of the bird, but luckily there wasn't too much damage done.  Lot's of laughs many years later.  She also got ahold of a bunch of shortbread cookies I was getting ready for a party.  Had to throw all of them away because we didn't know which ones she tasted.  Thank goodness she didn't get sick with all that butter and chocolate.

Shortly after my husband and I were married, I made him a batch of his favorite cookies with toffee chunks. I had about 5 dozen in a large tupperware bowl with a snap on top. The bowl was left on the kitchen table when we went to sleep. The next day, when my husband went to get a cookie, we found that Kaiser had gotten the bowl open, and had eaten what we estimated to be 48 cookies. The oddest part was that the lid was snapped on tight, and there were no crumbs anywhere. It had to have been Kaiser, because there was no one else in the house.

Just the other day Blitz did his first counter surf (naughty dog, I think Donner would be the first!)

Apparently my husband was getting the dogs their food ready. Not sure what he had to go do that he left the bowls on the counter with kibble in them, but he left them and he came back and saw Blitz eating out of his bowl. A good yell to get down and Blitz was down!

splat - Hey, it was his bowl and he knew it was his food, and apparently your hubby just forgot to put it on the floor for him. LOL, these guys never cease to amaze me or surprise me. You will also find with competition your dogs behaviors will sometimes change. Blitz now has competition for his food, so it is not surprising that he went for it.
