Have missed seeing some of the old regulars on the shorthair board---in particular Gunsmoke, Diamond, Wagonmaster, Whiteruger/Tucker and Junos Mom. Hope you all and your dogs are OK. Have you found a new fur friend yet, Diamond.

I know Sage hasn't been around either prariefire . Miss hearing about the dogs and their adventures!

Hunting season in most places. I still mange to check in twice a day, but I live where I hunt, some travel a lot this time of year.

You're lucky to be able to hunt where you live. I used to live in Iowa but around here there is very little open land for bird hunting and you have to know someone who owns it.

Juno's Mom here, You are right I am just not around so much anymore. I have gotten a new job and where I used to work from home and had lots of time for "GSP chatting" now I'm in a Government office where I'm sure that they won't appreciate me chatting all day. Truthfully, I am not thrilled about the new job. It has been a big adjustment being away from Juno through the day, and he usually just goes to sleep by the time that I get home. So maybe soon enough I'll be back working wrom home with my trusty GSP, Juno. As much as I'm sure that Juno would love to have me back at home though he is thrilled with the new arrangement as he gets to go to "dog camp" a couple of times a week, most weeks, where he gets treated like a king with two walks a day and the rest of the time gets to run and play with at least 5 other dogs and on days like today (Very Cold) he gets to curl up in front of the fire with all the other dog Camp dogs for a nice long nap. Ti is a great place and makes me feel way better about not being able to be home with him. It must be even worse leaving children to go back to work......maybe someday I will find out. So that is what has been going on with me. I do miss coming to the board eveyday, but I do check in once in a while to see what is going on. We have just purchased an e-collar so I'm sure that I will be back with questions about that & I will try and find some cute pictures of Juno sleeping to add to the post with all the cute sleeping dogs.

I AM BACK!! I have been so busy with our sons wedding & then my computer quit. My youngest son just built me a new super fast, super memory, etc. computer so I will be back reading about all the silly GSPs. He still has to do some stuff so I can put my pics on so it might be a few more days until I can post some pics. Gunner, the new pup is getting very big, just turned 7 months & is 50 lbs & almost as big as Ruger. Tucker can't hear to good anymore & we have to yell really loud so he can here us! They are all getting along very well.

I will post pics soon.

Wow we are famous guys! laughs no I haven't found a pup yet...hoping to get one from a early 2008 litter that I will be able to bring home around March or April. I am waiting back on emails from a couple....and the whole time I am thinking that they are going to email back "you're too late, we have too many reservations!" Aaahh! So I am very impatiently waiting cause if I don't get a puppy in the spring I will have to wait way into the summer!! Help I don't think I can wait that long!

Glad to see everyone back. Friends are important whether in person or on the board. Hope you get your puppy soon. I went dogless for almost three years and then had to get another one. My friends kid me about being the social director but for me friends are more important than "toys". My best friend of 60+ years looks in on my 92 year old mother back home at least once a week. I am so lucky---good friends and good fur friends.
