We had a wonderfully successful weekend.  My boy Boondock finished his Junior Hunter title at the 'tender' age of 6 months.  His brother Tracker needs one more leg.  These great guys are out of my Ben X Beretta litter -
CH Olde Ridge Ben There Done That x CH Schutzen's Shoot To Thrill CD RE SH, GSPCA VC NRD, NAVHDA NA PZI.

Two out of my Ziggy x Pebbles litter (CH White River's Ziggy Stardust JH x CH Woodlands Gem'n I Huntabird RE SH, GSPCA VC, NAVHDA NA PZIII) finished titles as well.  Savannah earned her Junior Hunter and Ruger finished his Senior Hunter title.  Ruger skipped Juniors and ran/qualified five out of five to obtain his SH!  He was expertly fine-turned and handled by Brenda Roe all the way.  Thanks Brenda!!!

Back to the shows.....  :)

I guess it doesn't matter how many times you proof read, you never capture the mistake until AFTER you send it!  Ruger was FINE TUNED by Brenda.  He had tons of natural ability from the start with a beautiful natural retrieve, that I envy, and have Ziggy to thank for as he certainly didn't get that from his stubborn momma!  :)

No problem Nancy.   My Social Security card came "back" with that same spelling the first time :)

Thank you to everyone for the kind words on our breed win yesterday.   It was exciting and to do it breeder/owner/handled makes it that much more special.

I may as well add that Buttercup's sister Maisie was reserve to the major yesterday from the BBE class with me and their brother Miles went Winner's dog on Saturday handled by his 'other' mother Diane Stendahl.

Congratulations also to Ace on his nice big breed win Saturday.  It was great as always to watch him and Dorothea show.   They are such a team!

And also to Bill and Margaret Farone's breed wins on Thursday and Friday.

Always a tough, exhausting but fun Thanksgiving Cluster in Springfield.

Well done Christine on a fine weekend :-)  Thank you for your kind words Ace & I enjoyed visiting with some good friends and seeing many of you that we rarely get to see....  I have always loved the Springfield shows and miss attending them since we moved so far away so it was nice to to catch up with some old faces

Sorry we had to leave early but the change in weather must have gotten the best of me as I landed with a very bad chest cold Saturday evening and by Sunday morning I felt pretty bad so decided to start our Long journey home a bit early ...

Congrats on your wonderful owner/breeder/handled win and may you have many more to follow......

I must say that I was very impressed with the Quality of Gsp's at the Springfield,MA shows this past weekend. So to those that won, you should be very proud to have been selected in such great competition !! Congratulations on the kind of weekend that every GSP owner/handler hopes for in the field, and at only 6 months! What a great feeling of pride and accomplishment you must have felt in showing off a fine line of GSPs doing what they were meant to do. I hope that your "little boy", JH Boonedock, progresses in the show ring also during the winter months. Keep us on his progress there. I know we'll see him in the field getting his SH next year.

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TRACY & BOONDOCK !! Savannah & Ruger TOO !!
Tracy is my favorite Hunting Buddy so I have seen Baby Boondock in action. He's a very serious, fearless hunter at such a tender age. When it comes to hunting, there is NOTHING tender about this boy. We'll be seeing him in a number of venues (breed, obedience, and NAVHDA). Knowing Tracy, she will give it her all !Every GSP in Tracy's home has a CH,a SH and at least an RE or a CD AND a CHIC #.
Way to go to prove the Versatilty of this wonderful breed AND watch over the health issues in your breeding program !
