Not human ones either.....Tara insists on being ON her sire all the time, literally, I figured she'd outgrow this habit, but at 2 yrs old, guess not - she's done this since 8 weeks old. He growls from time to time as she gets "comfortable", but always lets her get away with her peskiness. She doesn't do this with any of the other dogs.
He decided to use my van seat as a bed (I put it in the house for crate room in the van the other day) and couldn't even escape her on the small seat..........

I think it is a GSP thing. My youngest loves to lay on top of my 4 year old. They both like to lay on top of me and my husband. It starts when they are little. This is a picture of Belle who is now 4 years old. This picture was taken when she was about 3 1/2 months old. The cocker spaniel is my mothers dog who was about 9 years old when the picture was taken. Meg, the cocker, raised my shorthairs and both my girls love Meg.

| That is so cute. Usually the lap dogs don't tolerate others so well. My friend has 2 shitz zoo (or however you spell it) and he bought a gsp pup from me and they rip into him when he gets 2 close. He is a 65# brute to a 20# dust mop. Can't believe how brassy those smaller dogs can be! Belle is so cute. Rocky is a beauty too!! |

that looks about like my house!
I've been sick the last couple of days and Homer will not stay off of me! I can barely get seated before he is ontop of me - he keeps me somewhat warm LOL |

On a slightly less cute note, last weekend I had my 5 mo old Trudy at my girlfriend's house. She has a huge lab (~110#) who generally is the most docile dog in the world. The only other time they had been around each other was when Trudy was about 10 weeks (and ~15#). Even then she would give him the business and chase him around the house.
Well as they were playing last weekend and running around the house, I could have sworn that he tried to mount my baby girl. My girlfriend told me that there was no way that Macon (her lab) would do that, mainly because he had been cut for about 3 1/2 years and had never done it. Sure enough as they were running laps around the kitchen, he tried to do it again. Tried it several other times throughout the evening. She's not old enough to be in heat yet, but I guess he just wanted to try. I guess it was love (or lust) at first sight. |

| It could have been a dominance issue. My one female (Mocha) tries to do that to the pups sometimes. I don't know for sure but it could've been that. |

| My youngest has done it ever since I have gotten here. Poor Angel can not get a moments rest without her laying on top of her. I have heard her growl at her a few time, but then gives in. |

I don't think Buck would ever grumble if she wouldn't try to "fluff" him first....... sometimes she paws him like when they rearrange a blanket.......yet he always allows it!!
