Our local TV station ran a story about dog toys tonight.  In light of the scare about children's toys from China, I never even thought about the safety of dog toys and it seems there are no studies on how lead affects pets.  Just something to think about.

I can't imagine it being good for them. I wonder how we could find out about there being any in our pets toys?

I can remember how hard they worked to get rid of lead based paint in the US. Children would eat it when it peeled off the walls and it caused brain damage. Seeing how long it has taken to find it in the toys I think our dogs would be an even lower priority with the Feds.

Not too long ago they recalled some dog toys that were sold at Wal-Mart due to issues. They were the multiple plastic toys sold in a pack.
