Im New to GSH.....

My family has had dogs all our lives, I've since moved out into my own place (few years now) My wife and I have a female Boxer mix. 2 years old and she gets lonley durning the days and when we are gone. I have always loved GSH and finally have the opportunaty to get another dog and I really want a GSH. Our dog has always been around other M & F dogs and is great with other breeds. My only questions is that I've heard you shouldn't mix two females that they will fight. Is this true, or is it how they are raised?

Thanks for everyone's time!

I think it really depends on the dogs involved. My girls have always gotten along very well, but my male is something of a butthead that must be watched. OTOH we've had other borrowed males around here that even when intact were dedicated pacifists.

I have always had all girls with few problems. If you're going to spay or neuter your dogs, I don't think it will matter what you choose.
