I woke up yesterday morning and decided to take a pregnancy test...   I didn't really think it was gonna be postive!   I was half asleep, and the first one was only kinda halfway pink.   So I did another one - and it turned BRIGHT pink right away!   I woke up real quick after that!

I went downstairs and told Dave that I thought I had the answer as to why I've been so tired latley, and I showed him the tests!   He said "I'm gonna be a DADDY!!"   But then he was mad at me cause I didn't tell him I was taking the test.   I told him I didn't really think it was gonna be positive!!   I always thought I would know before I took the test!
Dave and I have been married 5 years, so we figured it was about time....so here we go on the baby adventure!   I haven't been to the doc for an official due date, but it will probably be around late March, early April.

We'll see how Osiris does!  He has been laying his head on my belly an awful lot lately, so it wouldn't surprise me if he knew before I did!  The only thing I worry about is him having his feelings hurt since the baby will take some attention away from him.

We are so excited!
YAY!!!!!

Congratulations!!!!!

Kids are great.
Even if they cry all night or sleep all night, even if they are fussy eaters or eat everything in the fridge, even if they are spoiled rotten brats or don't care to much about wrinkled clothes. Kids change everything, the world becomes a scary place and the sun seems to shine a bit brighter.

Enjoy your pregnancy,

Francine

Singltrak.. if they have a boy then it would be difficult to have a name like Isis.. Maybe they can consider Anubis as well :D

Congratulations. We raised both of our kids (now 37 & 34) with GSPs. They got along great and you don't have to clean up under high chairs. Now Molly just loves our grandchildren even though she was not raised around children. Osiris will soon learn that babies and dogs can be best friends.

I think it will be neat to see how he does. He has been around babies before and he likes to smell them and lick thier faces. And he seems to get concerned if they cry... like he is trying to figure out what is wrong. We have had him around many children and he came from a foster home with a 3 and 8y/o and he has NEVER so much as blinked funny at a child or given me any reason to be concerned. (Although I know that you can never be TOTALLY trusting of an animal.) We have had kids get in his face, hug him, lay on him, lead him around by his collar, and he just takes it.

What I think might be an issue is him "sitting" or laying on the baby, since he likes to curl up and lay on me, or at least have part of him touching me. We'll have to watch that!

It is reall so cool that he has beel laying his head on my tummy all the time lately!

Huge Congratulations! This is big news.

I don't at all want to steal your thunder, but Me Too! I am about 2 months ahead of you by the sound of it (three months today) and Juno is also an only child (Furrkid) at the moment. So perhaps we will have alot to discuss together in the next couple of years as we will be going through all of the same things together. Isn't it so exciting and a bit terrifying all at the same time.

Congrats again and I hope that you are feeling OK. Luckily I haven't had any morning sickness but have felt so tired like I have ran a marathon by the end of each day even though I have barely even moved. Hopeing that the second trimester goes as smoothly.

Congrats again future Mommy to be!

My wife and I found out we were having kids about 2 months ago. Our dog acted the same way, she lays and cuddles next to my wife ALL the time. When I leave she sits right next to her and literally acts like a watch dog. She rarely if ever barks or growls when I'm home but when I'm gone she barks at the door bell, noises outside, etc.

It's funny but I think it's her way of "protecting" my wife. My wife swears she knew before we did about the baby, strange those dogs are.

Huge congrats. It seems like dogs know who is "their" child. Even when we adopted all our dogs seemed to understand within a week that Jayden was their child and they were so gentle with him and loved him to death. Even Tundra who is not a fan of strangers was totaly cool with him poking and pulling at her.
