Houston Dock Dogs is having an event on 5/16-17 if you want to check it out. It is in Plantersville, TX (about 55 miles NW of Houston) at the Jest Fur Fun Training Center. There is also a playday tentatively set for 6/20. It should have dock jumping practice for sure and possibly lure coursing, agility and conformation run throughs. Dock jumping is $20/dog for unlimited jumps and everything else should be $5 a run. www.houstondockdogs.com

Boy I wish I was closer. People thought I was nuts five or six years ago when I first saw one of these televised and said, "boy I'll bet the GSP's would Rock at this sport if anyone had time to teach them".... little did they know HA!

There's a reason I like dogs better'n people... .

What great timing! My husband and I will be done with exams and have the weekend off before starting work for the summer. We will have to make it out, thanks for the heads up!

Just wanted to bump this. There are going to be 2 play days. One on May 30th and then one on June 20th. I think it is dock jumping only. You can find the directions there on the Houston Dock Dogs website.
