I already have a post going in the General Discussion but here it goes.
Tessa (9 months) got her NA Prize II last weekend. 4 in water, 2 in tracking, and 3 in everything else. She wasn't quite as focused as she usually is, and the tracking was sub-par for her but enough to qualify for Prize II. Compared to day 2 I didn't like the track was set up for her, too close to the spectators; the next day they moved the track way out into the fields, away from the commotion, and all dogs scored high. A better score in tracking would not have given her Prize I and I am very happy with Prize II, I just really wanted for her to meet that pheasant
The most impressive track came from a petite 14-month old black GSP female, she got a standing ovation from both spectators and judges. She tracked the pheasant, went into a picture-perfect point, stalked the pheasant as it moved on, pointed again, then caught and killed it. Upon recall, retrieved it towards the owner when midway a quail flew by, dog dropped the pheasant and chased the quail, when called off, went back to the pheasant and brought it home. She later also leaped into the water with so much gusto that she landed on top of the dummy. Awesome dog! NA Prize I perfect score.
