Hello again to everyone here,
Well I am back in the market for another dog....I can't take being dogless! I still miss Winston terribly but I don't think I could ever be one of those people who loses a dog and never has another again. I have thought about a puppy but don't know if I could handle all the puppy stuff with my circumstances right now (as much as I'd like too =D), so I am hoping to find someone that is looking for a new home for theirs. The only problem is GSP's are really rare in my area so they are extremely hard to find.
Anyway on the half chance that there is anyone here that knows anyone in the London Ontario area that is looking for a new home for their dog drop me a line. Thanks

On the wrong side of both the boarder and the continent to be of much practical help myself, but sincerely wishing good luck as you search for a new companion. I can't imagine being dogless. |

| No dog will ever take Winston's place but they will make a place of their own in your heart. I have had to put two GSPs to sleep (both were 14 years old) and always say I will never get another but I did and can't imagine not having them. Hope you find a real lover of a GSP. |

I know our breeder is also the Rescue Coordinator for Canada. She had quite a number of older and rescued dogs when we picked up Bo. Her name is Heather Brennan and more info is available on the GSPCC site http://pages.infinit.net/gspcc/resources/rehoming.html.
I'm so glad to hear you are thinking of getting another dog. I was very sad when you posted the message about Winston being put down. |

Welcome back Diamond, we missed you and know you are still empty missing Winston If any help, this is the link of the web site rescue where we adopted Rocky from and are very happy.http://www.gsprescuewi.com/images/logo.gif . You can type in your search German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue Wisconsin and see this web site . They donot ship GSP's , but can refer you to a GSP rescue in your location. You can fill out an application on this site and go from there. I filled out an application on this site and that is how we adopted Rocky. Good luck and you are in our prayers

| I so hope you can find yourself another friend. You had me so choked up when you lost him. A new one will not replace him but it will definately help to heal the tear in your heart. Good luck with your search and keep us posted. Good to hear from you again. |

| Thanks everyone for your encouragement, and Gail how in the world did you find these guys?? *laughs* I have been looking around doing searches and stuff and never found them, I was even on the whisperfield website when I was thinking about a puppy, and never noticed. Anyway thanks so much that gives me somewhere to start. Give all your dogs a great big hug, you deserve it guys! |
