And here is our new boy! We’ve decided to name him Bo. My husband really wanted that to be his name, so that’s what it is. It will be short for Bodacious (after the bull :P), which will be part of his registered name. We went round and round with different names and kept coming back to Bo. We pick him up on Monday the 22nd! There were 2 pups we liked, but this little guy kept following my husband around and Mike just loved that he always came over to him. The other pup didn't seem too interested in us. So we decided on this cutie.

We’re so excited and anxious to pick him up and have him be part of our family. My husband, Mike, is really excited to have a hunting dog. So, here are some pictures of our new lil guy! :)

4 weeks old

From this picture on, 6 weeks

Bo climbed in my lap. I had another shot of him and me like with my hubby above, but I couldn't get the picture to save right :(. Maybe I'll post it another time.

Our lil guy, Bo!

We have a Bo too! (Our's is Bogart, although, Bodacious, Booger, Bowhead, etc. all make good nick names :) ). Congratulations, your looks adorable!

I have a Boo too. He is gone to Trainning right now. He will be back this weekend. I can't wait to hunt over him. Your dog is a very nice looking dog. I wish you the best of luck.

Nice pup, but with call name Bo, you can't use woe for stop don't move command!!! Maybe you aren't going to hunt your dog . Just a thought and my 2 cents.

What a sweet puppy. I think your husband is right---you want the dog that wants to be with you.

Congrats on Bo. He looks like a real sweety. You can use "wait'" command in place of woe for stop don't move. I have Rocky trained with the "wait" command to stop and not move so I can walk up to him in field. Also I have Rocky trained with a hand signal for every verbal command. So for example if I want Rocky to sit while I am talking on the phone, I can just hand signal him to sit and not interrupt my conversation with the person I am talking to to. It is good to have hand signals for the dog if you are in an invironment where the dog cannot hear you. Good luck and enjoy each puppy moment and take lots of pictures as they grow so fast.

I ran into that trouble with Hunter. Whoa sounded too much like NO! So I trained him with wait also. Works great!
