I live in Hubert, NC and my next door neighbor's children let my dogs out today while my wife wasn't home.  My male Charlie is safe at home, but my female Laila is missing.

She is a 5 yr old spayed female.  She is patched and ticked liver and white.  She is chipped and had a collar w/ tag.  She has a large scar on her right knee from a ACL surgery.

I have notified all local vets, shelters, and boarders.  She will be posted on craigslist and any other forum I can put her on.

These are some pictures of my little girl.  Please help me if you are in the area or have any resources in my area.

Good News. She came home 6.5 hours later, and is safe and found.

Gosh I am glad she is home.  I read your original post and was so depressed thinking she was out there wandering around lost.

I was both crushed and enraged. I have no children other than my dogs, and have no desire to have any human children, and then to have two kids that are not mine let one of my kids run away. I was more than slightly angry, but we are just thankful she is home and with my wife. It would have been devastating to her had she been lost or hit by a car. We got very lucky today.

Being away from home and not being able to help my wife with the search made things all the more difficult.

Thanks for your concern and thoughts.

Kyle

Very glad to hear the good news! Sounds like the neighbor's kids need a spanking & a lesson in responsibility!
