Now I realize why I spend so much time on the shorthair board----because it is so much better than my regular e-mail. So far in the last two weeks in my regular e-mail: 2 different Nigerians have wanted to send me part of $11 million if I will swear that I am related to the deceased, I am a winner in a foreign lottery (just need to send details which probably involves a check for the taxes), 3 people have been phishing for my paypal account number (which I closed in 06 for this very reason) and 1 perrson is trying to get my Bank of America account number (wish I had one). I figure the worst thing that could happen to me on the shorthair board is that I might end up with a stray pointer and the best thing is I always know I am going to get a laugh from what someone's goofy GSP is doing..

I totally agree. I have had paypal for under a year and I have 3 times had someone trying to get into it. I am always getting these real long letters from another country telling me if I help them I will recieve millions.I wish but I know it's crap. If I had relatives like that I'm sure I would know them! What a load of crap. I block sender and they send the same thing from a different name! I love this board especially makes me feel like part of another family! The GSP family! I love getting ideas and help from everyone. I feel like you are all my friends! I alos love the pics and people telling some silly story about their GSP's!!!

I work for a police department, so the spammers fish my address right off the web site & it is amazing what sort of junk they will send. It is also amazing how many people fall for these scams! My favorites are the penis enlargement and Russian girlfriend emails I am always getting. I would love to tell them, "I don't have a penis, so it doesn't need to be any bigger and even though my hair is a little short, I still like boys not girls, thank you."

I enjoy coming here and learning new things from everyone. I like reading about how someones dog did in the field, the show ring or the many antics they do day to day. I have 2 different spam guards on my email address and it seems there is always spam coming through. They are getting smarter on ways to get around it. I know, even if you block sender they still get in. They just send it under another name. But atleast no matter how bad things are; we have our comic sidekick GSP'S to make us laugh!!

I know what you mean about the GSP family. We were taking Molly to Petsmart one day and a guy wanted to know her bloodline. When I said she was a Clown dog he dug out his wallet to show me one of her distant cousins. I see Pedigree's new add has a GSP--but second from the end. Molly's full name is Molly's Grassland Butterfly because she is an MGB. My husband bought a 1964 MGB and I got my MGB GSP. I was thinking of Molly's Gone British but could not do that to a German dog.

Picking out the names can drive a person mad! Took me a couple weeks and after Mocha ate the kit kats I decided on Mocha Cappu ccino. I like coffee too! It is neat to find a name that no one else has. I bet the akc must go nuts with all the different ones. I also have Sir Leopold von Hunter 1 (Hunter), Lili Belle Lotte (Belle), LiL Miss Lotte Doddi (Doddi) my wife's, and Ace Hunter Twisted Mister (Stud) my daughter call name for him. I did the name on his pedigree though. Ok so I was into the 80's bands. I can't wait till spring when I have to come up with another name for my girl puppy.
