As we near the end of the trial season I hope we can all share our dates for next season and hopefully remove some of the conflicts that have arisen. The Region 12 FTA will be meeting in June and one of our objectives will be to hammer out a schedule for next year. I hope we can get the continental breed club dates also to improve the visibility for planned trials within the region. Also, fyi, we have conducted dog of the year awards for several years and I envisioned the opportunity for the continental breeds to participate in the award program. Not in a direct competition with the AF dogs but within your own breed. Report that info to Region 12 and we could run the stats for the program. A club membership fee of $20.00 would make your club eligible for participation. You don’t have to belong to the AFTCA although it would be nice. We continue to work on our Region 12 Hall of Fame recognition regardless of the breed or person to be honored.
