I bought Bean a skid plate today, she 's normally not off on her own in rough conditions, but we walk through an area that has had recent logging and there are some "daggers" sticking out sharp as heck.  As we all know, the little GSP angels rarely look where they are going, and I thought the extra protection would be good insurance. I put it on her and she wouldn't move, just stood in the middle of the living room looking at me. I went in the kitchen and she leaped across the room, landing in my husbands lap as he was relaxing in his recliner. She wouldn't budge...so he unhooked the skid plate and they snugged for awhile....I think I'll return it ????  She obviously hates it. The upside is They are having dock jumping at the local sportsmans warehouse ( where I bought it ), and I 'll get to watch it all again tomorrow. NO GSP'S at all at this event, I was really suprised ! There was an English Bulldog..thought I'd laugh my A** off.

Anyone think I should try to get her used to the skid plate ? Remember she's normally not in the "danger Zone "
